I wanted to share a sneak peak of some artwork from the Dreamless City, done by my amazing friend Heather Mills. I haven’t talked much about this aspect of the novel on my blog, but I want to have a strong visual component to go with the story. The only thing cooler than a good book is a book with great pictures.
Nissa is the main character of the story, and her impish smile and irreverent attitude get her into lots of trouble. She was a jockey for some clandestine races through the city streets when she was small, but had since grown too tall to compete. When a murder attempt on her employer goes amiss, Nissa has a chance to race again.
I’m working on cleaning up a scene to share from my work in progress, but for today, I hope you’ll enjoy the sketches.
