Writer. Adventurer. Currently working on The Dreamless City, a series of steampunk novels and short stories.
Music is a huge part of my creative process, whether it is grooving in the car thinking up new ideas or playing the same songs over and over to catch a mood for a particular scene. Sometimes I obsess on a song for weeks at a time. With time being such a precious commodity, music shortcuts the time for me to get in “the writing zone.”
I’ll be updating my playlist on Saturdays.

It’s been raining in Georgia off and on for the last month. Sort of feels like Seattle… Must get more coffee…
Obsessing on “Rainy Monday” by Shiny Toy Guns
“When It Rains” by Paramore is on my playlist
Listening to “Raining Again” by Moby
“Let It Rain” by OK Go is also on play
Feeling nostalgic with “Only Happy When It Rains” by Garbage
When I was in the seventh grade, my best friend’s mom drove us to middle school each morning. She was cool because she’d just gotten a new car, which had a CD player in it. We listened to this song on the way to school EVERY DAY.
So…. the last song on my list is “November Rain” by Guns N’ Roses. I really, really loved this song when I was thirteen.
