Saturday Music Album Playlist

Music is a huge part of my creative process, whether it is grooving in the car thinking up new ideas or playing the same songs over and over to catch a mood for a particular scene. Sometimes I obsess on a song for weeks at a time. With time being such a precious commodity, music shortcuts the time for me to get in “the writing zone.”

I’ll be updating my playlist on Saturdays.

March 30, 2013

iTunes decided to erase my library and playlists this week. I was able to restore most of my music, but the playlists are gone.

It is devastating.

But I can’t stop writing, and my ears need fuel for my fingers, so I had to build some quick and dirty playlists. There are a few albums that I have been listening to from start to finish, so I figured that would be a good list for the week.

Atlas Genius – When It Was Now
Birds of Tokyo – March Fires
Foster the People – Foster the People EP
Fun. – Some Nights
Imagine Dragons – Continued Silence EP
Metric – Synthetica
Mumford & Sons – Babel

Just like my tormented characters, I will overcome all my challenges big and small, but please don’t take my playlists away again!

Recreating playlists can be almost impossible if you are like me. I create them according to the mood I was in and sometimes you can’t or should not recreate the mood.

Yeah, it hasn’t been a pretty process. I’m still a bit bummed about it, but I’m trying to look at it as a clean slate for 2013. It’s just another opportunity for me to create and customize to my heart’s content.
