Halloween Music Playlist

Music is a huge part of my creative process, whether it is grooving in the car thinking up new ideas or playing the same songs over and over to catch a mood for a particular scene. Sometimes I obsess on a song for weeks at a time. With time being such a precious commodity, music shortcuts the time for me to get in “the writing zone.”

I’ll be updating my playlist on Saturdays, or on special holidays like this.

October 31, 2013

Obsessing on “Pumping Blood” by NONONO
“Changing of the Seasons” by Two Door Cinema Club is on my playlist
Listening to “Bad Blood” by Bastille
“Scared” by Albert Hammond Jr. is playing now
Rocking out to Cage the Elephant’s “Ain’t No Rest for the Wicked”
Also listening to “Here Comes the Night Time” by Arcade Fire
Just added Vampire Weekend’s “Unbelievers”
“Demons” by Imagine Dragons is also on the list
Enjoying “Accidntel Deth” by Rilo Kiley
Don’t forget “Beat the Devil’s Tattoo” by Black Rebel Motorcycle Club

It might not be the most cohesive playlist, but I like the songs and the titles worked, so just eat your candy corn and enjoy.

You had me at Black Rebel Motorcycle Club — love them and that’s a great song choice for the season. I had not thought of it that way before!

I have had “Demons” stuck in my head on and off for the past week – not a completely bad thing
