Saturday Music Playlist

Music is a huge part of my creative process, whether it is grooving in the car thinking up new ideas or playing the same songs over and over to catch a mood for a particular scene. Sometimes I obsess on a song for weeks at a time. With time being such a precious commodity, music shortcuts the time for me to get in “the writing zone.”

I’ll be updating my playlist on Saturdays.

February 01, 2014

Obsessing on “The City” by The 1975
“It’s Time” by Imagine Dragons is on my playlist
Listening to “Dust and Bones” by Night Terrors of 1927
Just added Young the Giant’s “It’s About Time”
“Time to Run” by Lord Huron is also on the playlist
Enjoying “Six Weeks” by Of Monsters and Men too!

Numerology is the theme this week. Been working on some world building, which means a whole lot of decisions regarding “how many” and “when did it happen.” Looking forward to making less specific decisions next week!

What kind of music helps you write best? I enjoy hearing about everyone else’s creative processes.
